 A Great Person

The magic man of Asia, an apostle of non violence Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi was born on October  2^nd  1869 at Porbandar, Gujarat. He belong to a well-to-do family.

He when to England and studied law and become a barrister. But he was not interested in law. Gandhi was interested in Indian politics as he could not bear the miserable plight of poor Indians. They starved under the British rule. Mahatma Gandhi sacrificed everything to uproot the Britishers from Indian soil. He started the nonviolent and peaceful movement in 1919. Mahatma was a man of sound and sterling character.

He was a noble soul. He wore a very simple dress and ate simple food. He guided the freedom fighters. His entire life was a life of service and sacrifice. He was assassinated on January 30, 1948. The whole world still respects this great man.
