 A DAY AT THE ZOO

During last vacation we visited Dehiwala Zoo. It was a beautiful place. There were lost of animals, birds, fish and reptiles there.

Some of them lived freely in large area. Some fierce animals were caged.

First we visited the aquarium. I couldn't believe my eyes and I thought I was at the bottom of the ocean.

Then we went to see the birds. Those birds were chirping. Some of them were indigenous birds and some were brought from other countries.

Some visitors fed them fruits and seeds. 

As we were tired, we sat under the huge tree and ate ice-cream. After that we watched reptiles. 

They were in a special section. In the evening we watched the elephant's display. 

It was very interesting. We spent the whole day at the zoo and came back home in late evening.
